Social Seller John White Talks About Reaching No. 1 on LinkedIn Publishing

John WhiteJohn White (@juanblanco76) is a telecom sales and marketing executive with SKYBEAM , a broadband connectivity provider. John is a successful social selling practitioner in a corporate sales role. I wanted to get him on the show to learn about his processes. John sent me an invitation to connect on Linkedin a while ago and he rose up my radar because he is one Top 10 Most Viewed Connections (a new feature you can find in the “Who’s Viewed My Profile” section). It’s no wonder his profile draws so many views. Three of his LinkedIn Publishing articles have gone to #1 on LinkedIn amassing over 1M views!

John is not just a thought-leader; he’s an action-leader, too. You’ll know why I say that when you hear all the commitments he is juggling.

Highlights of the interview include:

  • How John became such a successful LinkedIn Publisher
  • Key factors for having a post go viral on LinkedIn
  • How social content sharing supports his sales prospecting activities
  • What two factors will be important in social selling in the next few years

That knowledge led to him launch his own Salesforce consulting business in 2008. When LinkedIn went public in 2011, Kurt recognized that LinkedIn would be the next great sales technology and that it would require expert training. He pivoted his business and now has over 10,000 hours of experience training corporate sales teams like CenturyLink, Ericsson, and TelePacific Communications. Kurt is the creator of the Social Selling Boot Camp and is a member of the National Speakers Association.
