Three Social Selling Apps to Complement LinkedIn

People often ask me if I train on social selling applications other than LinkedIn. While LinkedIn is my No. 1 Go-To tool, there are few other apps that are well suited for B2B sales. Along with the obvious Twitter, the No. 2 most popular B2B social application, here are three others I’ve started using this year:

1. HootSuite – This popular application helps people manage communications across multiple social networks. It becomes a necessity as one grows in their social sophistication. Sellers use HootSuite to help find & connect with prospects, discover content to share, and measure results. 2. Crushpath – This pitch creation application is the embodiment of the social tenet of individualism.  It gives an individual sales rep, entrepreneur, or anyone the ability to quickly and easily create a single web page to make a pitch and capture a lead.  This means corporate sales reps do not have to rely on Marketing for lead generation. Crushpath lets sales reps take matters into their own hands. While Marketing professionals may shudder over sales reps all creating their own messaging, it’s just one more example of how social technology is crushing hierarchal organizations that try to control information. 3. Brewster – This iPhone application is your address book on social steroids. You give it access to your address book and social network and it crunches all the connections for a few minutes then, VOILA!, you can slice and dice a number of new ways including who your closets friends are, contacts in particular locations, people you share interest with,… My favorite feature is the “Losing Touch” screen, which reminds you who you have not connected to lately.
