It’s safe to say that most salespeople have opinions and expertise to share. So why is it that so many of us are quiet on LinkedIn?
Whether you’re meeting with clients, attending conferences or getting together with colleagues to discuss strategy, contributing to the conversation is a big part of the job.
When you comment on a LinkedIn update you're demonstrating your expertise to potential clients. Click To TweetBut when I go to my LinkedIn feed, comments on updates are a rarity.
That is a wasted opportunity.
If you want to succeed as a social seller, you need to be social. And not just idle chit chat. You need to contribute to your community. And the reason you want to do this is to show that you can add value.
Watch this short video about commenting and then zip over to LinkedIn and look for some opportunities to build relationships based on your expertise.

Terrific and wise tip Kurt. It is surprising to see how easy and FAST it can be and it is much appreciated by the author of the post. It adds a nice deposit in the karma piggy bank for the future with the author and others that learn from your comment. Keep ’em coming Kurt!
Kurt,
Great video – motivated me to make a comment 🙂 Seriously, I believe networking is key to business growth, and doing it online (as well as in person) is key to growing your business.
Thanks
