All influencers want to know what they will get out of the deal. When a brand contacts Lee, he assumes that they’ve already done their homework on him and their proposition will be relevant. He expects the brand to empathize with him and present a succinct, clear, and easily executable plan.
Lee wrote a blog post of 50 things to avoid to improve influencer engagement. One of the points he reiterated in our interview was that brands should not be long winded when reaching out to influencers. Clarity is key.
